Question by Stink Records: How much does it cost to insure a commercial van per year?
How much does it cost to insure a commercial van (up to 3.5 tons) per year for commercial use? I know there is a huge difference in price due to factors such as age, milegae etc but I am looking for a rough price.

If you’re in the UK go to gocompare.com or a similar site and stick in some details.

We can’t help you much because prices can vary so much. My first insurance quote was for 3000 pounds a year, and I ended up paying 280 (but that was for a car).

  1. The only way you will ever know is to ask an insurance company. You are wasting your time asking here. No one has the foggiest idea. There are way too many variables

  2. Timbo is here says:

I did one about 3 years ago, Renault Traffic short wheelbase at 2.7 tomnne and was quotes over £3000 by many but got it for £800 a year
I would expect it to be twice that by now

Commercial insurance is a little more complicated and the items you be carrying and what the use and mileage will be relevant.

Look for a Insurance Broker in your local High Street. They are the best bet and it can be done and discussed face to face and they know where to go for the best price as well.
